Privacy and safety

Child and learner accounts, practice recordings, and account security.

This page covers DodoTalk’s basic rules for child and learner accounts, practice recordings, and account security. For details, follow the in-app notices and the privacy policy on the official site.

Child and learner accounts

  • A child account is created by a parent; a learner account is created by a teacher. Keep the PIN safe and never give a child the main account password.
  • Child and learner accounts are limited: they cannot change billing, invite others, or switch spaces. See Child and learner accounts.
  • Guardians are responsible for how children use child and learner accounts.

Practice and recordings

  • Live pair practice and other features that record start only after both people agree.
  • Recordings are used for practice feedback and product improvement (as allowed by applicable law). See Live pair practice and AI feedback.
  • If you do not want to be recorded with someone else, choose a practice mode that does not record both sides (such as Self practice).

Account and devices

  • Sign out after practising on a shared device.
  • Link and verify an email you use often on the main account, so you can recover it.
  • Signing out, closing the account, and exporting data are under Me → Settings in the App.

Official policies

  • The official site’s Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and Acceptable Use Policy.
  • For questions, use Contact us on the official site.
