AI scoring

After speaking items, vocabulary read-aloud, or listening shadowing, you can choose AI scoring. Minutes are charged once, only for scored items; if you skip, check yourself against the model answer.

After recording in speaking items, vocabulary read-aloud, or listening shadowing, you can choose AI scoring when you tap End. AI scores each item and minutes are charged by the number of items scored.

AI scoring is not the same as speaking feedback. Speaking feedback comes after Self practice or Pair practice; AI scoring scores items in material practice from Learn.

Where it is

From Learn → Vocabulary / Listening / Speaking items, tap Practice, record your answers on the Practice page, and tap End.

Steps

  1. Record each item. The page shows “Recorded. You can choose AI scoring when you end”.
  2. Tap End. Score with AI? opens and shows how many items you recorded, the most minutes it may use, and your balance.
  3. Choose Score with AI or Skip.
  4. When scoring is done, you see each item’s score and the average. You can also review it in Progress.

How minutes are charged

  • Charged once after scoring, only for the items that were scored.
  • Order: benefits first, then subscription points, then purchased points.
  • Items not scored, choosing Skip, or scoring that never started are not charged.
  • If the balance runs out, the remaining items show “Not enough minutes left, so this item was not scored”.

If you skip: check yourself

With no points or benefits, or when you choose Skip, you can still practise. Each item has a Model answer and Scoring points to compare against.
